How to Make Extreme Potions On Runescape

Runescape is an incredibly popular multi-player online game that has many skills and activities to choose from. One of those skills is Herblore. On September 7, 2009, Runescape added nine high level potions to the Herblore skill that have some very interesting effects when used. Skill levels go from 1 to 99, with 99 being the most advanced level possible. These potions range from Level 84 to 96 and some can do incredible damage when used in combat! Some of the new potions are Super potions charged with another ingredient to make them Extreme potions. Here’s the biggest difference about these game potions – they can NOT be traded or sold once they have been made!

• Higher herblore skill levels
• Persistence and Patience!

1. The first new potion is the Recover Special – you need to have Level 84 to make it. You will get 200 experience points for each potion made. Use a Super energy potion with a Papaya. When you sip this potion in the game, it will restore 1/4 of the special attack bar of any weapon you are wielding. Since most weapons with a special attack take a rather long time to recover after use, the three dose potion will be more than helpful in critical fights.

2. Next is the Super Antifire potion – you need to have Level 85 to make this. It gives 210 xp (experience points) for each one you make. Use an Anti-firebreath potion with a Desert Phoenix feather. This potion will give you complete protection from dragon fire without having to wield an anti-dragonfire shield, allowing you to use a two handed weapon without getting fried.
   
   
   Note: You will need to travel to the mining area North of Uzer to thieve the feathers from the single Phoenix flying in the area. These feathers are not tradeable and you can't store them in any Beast of Burden. The Phoenix in the cave near Piscatoris is not the correct bird to gather the feathers from.

3. The Extreme Attack potion requires Level 88 and gives you 220 xp when you make it. Use a Super Attack potion with an Avantoe. This potion will increase your Attack Level 5-26 levels, depending on your current level. For reference, a level 99 Attack level will go up to 125 - a major advantage when fighting. The Super attack raises a Level 99 to 117 max.

4. The Extreme Strength potion requires Level 89 and gives 230 xp when you make it. Use a Super Strength potion with a Dwarf weed. This potion will increase your Strength Level 5-26 levels, depending on your current level. As the potion above, it gives a major advantage while fighting and might be the most helpful Extreme combat potion.

5. The Extreme Defense potion requires Level 90 and gives 240 xp per potion made. Use a Super Defense potion with a Lantadyme to make this potion. It will increase your Defense Level 5-26 levels, depending on your current level.

6. The Extreme Magic potion requires Level 91 and gives 250 xp. Use a Magic potion with a ground mud rune. The Living Rocks in the Cavern drop many mud runes. The mud runes may also be purchased at the Grand Exchange. Simply use a pestle and mortar with each rune. This potion increases offensive spell damage by 40%! High level mages will definitely be using this in PvP fighting.

7. The Extreme Ranging requires Level 92 and gives 260 xp per potion made. Use a Ranging potion with 5 Grenwall spikes. Grenwalls are a hunter creature than must be caught with a box trap using Pawya meat as bait - or buy them on the Grand Exchange. This potion will increase your Ranging Level 4 – 23 levels, depending on your level. This is a huge boost and would be very helpful while leveling up your Range skill.

8. The Super Prayer potion requires Level 94 and gives 270 xp. Use a Prayer Restore potion with one Wyvern bonemeal. This potion increases your Prayer points 7-41 levels, depending on your level. The Wyverns are in a separate cavern in the Ice Giants dungeon south of Falador. If you can't fight them, buy the bones on the Grand Exchange. Take the bones and an empty pot for each to the Ectofuntus bone grinder in Port Phasmatys to make them into bonemeal.

9. Last and most amazing is the new Overload! You'll need Level 96 to make this potion and it will reward you with 1000 xp! You need to use five of the new potions - an Extreme Attack, an Extreme Strength, an Extreme Defense, an Extreme Range and an Extreme Magic - plus one Torstol. Have all five potions and a Torstol in your inventory and use the Torstol with any one of the five potions. It will concentrate all the potions into one 3 dose potion. This potion boosts all five of the skill stats at the same time for a full 5 minutes.
   
   Also – It has a damage causing side-effect. It does 50 points damage in lots of 10 hitpoints taken at a time. The damage will reverse once the potion has worn off. The stats do not gradually reduce – instead they reset after 5 minutes has passed.
   
   The highest level combat players have reported occasionally inflicting 57 damage in one hit while fighting various opponents making this is a seriously powerful potion!

Tips & Warnings

• Use potions on other potions of the same kind to make 4 dose potions, instead of three, to save space and enable you to carry more of the potion you need in your inventory.

• Since the only people who can use these potions would have to be high herblorists, it follows that they will probably also be high combat/range/magic so be prepared if you plan on logging into any PvP or Bounty Worlds!
