Your employees are the backbone of your company so it's important to respect them and show appreciation for their hard work. When this happens you'll have employees who are willing to go the extra mile for your company's success.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

If your employees contributed greatly to the increase in sales for your company or if they increased the number of new clients, give them a holiday bonus or some extra vacation days. Your employees have families and they need time with them.

  2. Step 2

If an employee has proven to you that he learned the initial job duties you gave him really well, consider training him for a higher position. This shows the employee that you're willing to help him advance within the company and that you trust his judgment for bigger responsibilities.

  3. Step 3

When your employee has concerns regarding his job performance or the work environment, take his comments into consideration. Maybe he senses a lack of communication between you two or he simply has some ideas that will increase his productivity.

  4. Step 4

If your employee suffers a health or family crisis, get together with the other employees and start a fund to help pay for his expenses. This lets the employee know that he's not just a machine but someone you value and who is a human being. It also shows your compassion.
