How to Create a Character for Mortal Kombat Armageddon
The "Mortal Kombat" fighting video games are among the most popular in all of gaming, with players praising the series' fast-paced action and brutal violence. "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Wii gives players the ability to create their own characters to use in the game. Players can create a character's appearance, define his fighting style and enter his biographical information with the "Kreate a Fighter" menu. Players can use the created character to battle other fighters in either single-player or multiplayer game modes.

Select "Kreate a Fighter" from the main menu.

Select "Appearance." Cycle through the submenus with the "L1" and "R1" button. You can choose from the "Body Type," "Head," "Upper Body," "Lower Body," "Accessories," and "Attributes" submenus.

Select any feature you wish to alter with the "X" button. Tweak the feature with the directional buttons, and press "X" to accept the changes. Define your character's appearance to your liking, and press "Triangle" to return to the "Kreate a Fighter" menu.

Select "Fighting Style." Select the "Basics" submenu to name your fighting style and select your stance. Select the "Attacks" submenu to assign specific attacks to specific buttons. Select your attacks based on your preferred playing style. Choose quick attacks if you like to play with speed or strong attacks if you prefer to use brute strength.

Return to the menu and select "Weapon Style." Select the "Basics" submenu to name your weapon style and choose your weapon and stance. Select the "Attacks" submenu to choose your specific weapon attacks. Choose attacks that complement your fighting style and prepare you for any type of opponent.

Go back to the menu and select "Special Moves." Choose an unassigned special move slot and assign an attack to that slot from the list provided.

Return to the menu and select "Extras." Choose your character's voice and victory move from the list provided.

Return to the menu and select "Biography." Enter your character's name, victory slogan and biography with the onscreen keyboard.

Press "Triangle" to exit the "Kreate a Fighter" menu and save your character.

Many of the options require that you purchase them with gold coins. Earn gold coins by playing the single-player mode and performing fatality moves.
