How to Write a Christian Wedding Program
The program is one of the first items a guest sees when attending a wedding. For that reason, programs are expected to be both informative and thematic of the overall wedding. In modern times, wedding programs come in a wide variety of formats from personalized fans to bookmarks. Christian wedding programs are very easy to make for a bride on a tight budget with the right motivation and tools.

1
Research a template to use to start writing your program. A few popular free websites are Microsoft Office Online and Balloons-Galore.net. Download your template in a word-processing program such as Microsoft Word, and make sure your format is correct and desirable. The most popular format for Christian wedding programs is bi-fold, which includes a front page, a left and right inside fold and a back page.

Incorporate personalized information from the ceremony outline provided to you. Most officiates will give you an outline of your ceremony during one of your counseling sessions. A majority of bi-fold programs include the ceremony information on the inside left panel.

3
Add personal information to reflect the people you want to honor in your program on the inside right panel. Most programs should at the very least include the bridesmaids, the groomsmen and the ushers. Others commonly included are the pastor, the musicians, the flower girl and ring bearer and any family members you want to honor such as parents and grandparents. The back of the program serves an ideal purpose of acting as a memorial page for honoring deceased loved ones.

4
Personalize your program to meet your religious theme. Though the presence of the Christian ceremony on the inside of the program is enough to make this program Christian, consider adding a Bible verse on the front of the program after your names and wedding date. In addition, Bible verses and special thanks can also be added to the back panel.

5
Format and proofread your final work to make sure all information is consistent and provided in a neat and easy-to-read manner. Send the program to your pastor and wedding coordinator for final approvals.

Tips & Warnings
When choosing paper for the final print, pick something sturdy so your guests can keep the programs as memorial tokens of your wedding. Most office supply stores have a large selection of card stock, as do hobby stores such as Hobby Lobby and Michael's. Choose font colors and background colors that complement each other to enhance readability. Add more Christian aspects by incorporating clip art such as a cross or two doves on the front or back pages.
