Step 1
Begin by visiting the Groupon website (see link to site in Resources section below) and selecting the city that you live in. Groupon deals are currently available in the following metropolitan areas: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, and Washington DC.

Step 2
Once you have selected the city that you are interested in, click on Get Daily Groupon Alerts. Simply enter your email address to receive Groupon’s deals in your inbox each weekday. Note that Groupon alerts are currently not sent out on weekends. Examples of recent deals have included $45 for a microderm facial (55% discount), $20 for a kitchen and bathroom cleaning (60% discount), $8 for $20 worth of ice cream and yogurt (60% discount), $25 for $50 worth of wine classes (50% discount), and $15 for $35 worth of groceries at a farmer’s market (57% discount).

Step 3
If you receive a Groupon deal via email that you would like to purchase, simply click on See Today’s Deal and select Buy! when you reach the webpage for the deal. Note that you will only have a limited amount of time to purchase the deal. Pay attention to the Time Left to Buy clock. You will need to enter your billing information to complete the purchase. Remember that you only receive access to the deal (and be charged for it) if enough other people sign up for the deal.

Step 4
If you and enough other individuals (usually between 20-50 people) sign up for a Groupon deal of the day, you will be charged for your purchase and will receive your coupon via email within a couple of business days.
