How to Make an Easy Halloween Tombstone / Tombstones for Your Yard

These wooden Tombstones are easy to make and will be a fun addition to your Halloween outdoor house decorations.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scrap pieces of wood
  • Gray paint
  • Black paint
  • Paint brush
  • Hammer
  • Nails
  • Saw
  1. Step 1

    Get some scrap square/rectangle pieces of wood. I had some olt kitchen cupboard doors and they worked great. Using a hand saw or a table saw, trim the top corners so they look like tombstones.

    Cut some scraps of wood into long strips. (1" x 18") Nail these to the back of the tombstones so you can stick them into the ground.

  3. Step 3

    Paint the tombstones gray and wipe some black paint along the edges so they look old. You could do this with spray paint too. Write on them with black paint and a small art brush. Check out the clever sayings that I used.

  • Remember to use safety precautions when working with power tools.
