This is a handprint easy Halloween craft with a difference! You need only a few inexpensive supplies which you will probably have lying around the house. It is an easy Halloween craft to do with a crowd of children and the results are great for decorating the house or classroom. Best of all, you will end up with a fun memento to keep and look back on as the children grow.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Green card or paper
  • Scraps of black, red or purple card, paper, felt, tissue paper etc
  • Pencils and pens
  • White glue
  1. Step 1

Have children place their hands on the green paper and draw around them. Older children can do this by theirselves.

  2. Step 2

Make oval shapes for pointy fingers and long nails from scraps and stick them on the hand cutout.

  3. Step 3

Embellish with glitter if preferred. You can add spider like veins using your own hands as models

  4. Step 4

Do you wish to add warts. Make them from scrunching tissue paper into tiny balls and glue them on the hands.

  5. Step 5

To create monster hands, cut handprints from green or brown paper and square off the fingers Make fingernails black or silver. Draw in veins and hair with black marker.

  6. Step 6

Make ghost hands from white paper. Stretch the handprints out a bit for long, thin fingers. Cut fingernails from grey or silver paper and decorate with glitter if desired.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the hands to decorate a notice-board, the fridge, or the Halloween table (place them on either side of a plate for a humorous effect). If you attach them to the edge of doors with sticky-tack it looks as if someone spooky could be hiding on the other side!
