Step 1
A bumpy rubber teething ring for baby to chew on. It's very uncomfortable with teething, your baby needs something for relief. Or give the baby a soft toy to play with or chew on it. Make sure the toy is safe for her age.
-
Step 2
Offer baby something cold to drink. A bottle or sippy cup of icy cold water. It's important to keep baby enough fluid intake because drooling makes her losing fluids.
-
Step 3
Something cold to eat is also a good way to comfort a teething baby. Give a chunk of soft banana or ripe pear. Cold baby yogurt is also good. For a teething baby, something cold may be more appealing than warm food.
-
Step 4
If the pain is sever, you may want to offer baby orajel. It releases your baby's teething pain. The product is designed for baby so it is safe if swallowing.

on 11/12/2009 The wash cloth idea works.
My Grandma used to tell me to put a spoonful of sugar in the center of a clean cloth, tie it off so the sugar is in a ball, dampen the ball then freeze for 15 minutes.
It does wonders but I only used the sugar once in a while and gave just a clean wet cloth most of the time.
