The most important thing in a Long Distance Relationship is to be honest. Don’t pretend to be someone you are not, lie, steal, or cheat.

  3. Step 3

Try to see each other every week or atleast once a month. Even if its only for a few minutes. Make a sincere effort to see your partner.

  4. Step 4

Do activities together such as: going to the movies, museum, a musical, doing laundry, yard work, or even going to the gym to work out with each other. Shared labor enhances your feelings for each other.

You can also do activities online together. You can watch a movie or listen to music together while talking on the phone, play games online, play truth or dare with a web cam, or even create a website.

  5. Step 5

Use technology to your advantage. Use sites like Skype or Yahoo messenger. You can Instant Message each other, web cam & chat, or talk online for free.

  6. Step 6

Write a Letter and mail it. Writing is more intense than verbal communication. When you write you're able to be more intimate. That will create a stronger bond between you.

  7. Step 7

Communication is extremely important in a Long Distance Releationship. There are many ways to communicate, find the one that best for you.

Get the same phone service so you can talk as long as you want when ever you want to.

Use social networks like Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter to communicate for free.

  8. Step 8

Keep things interesting and fresh. Do not be limited to the same routine. Try new things and share the experience together.

  9. Step 9

Take a personal day to your self where you do not establish any communication. This will enhance the feelings you have for each other and make your communication more meaningful.

  10. Step 10

Make time for each other. It's important to have one on one time to bond with each other. Go out to dinner and a movie or just take a walk around the park. Make the best out of your time together.

  11. Step 11

Avoid situations that would make your partner uncomfortable such as going to wild parties or going out with the opposite sex.
