For those of you who are planning a Halloween party there is no greater fun than including a scavenger hunt in the festivities for the party. Scavenger hunts are fun and exciting and adds a new dimension to your party.

Things You'll Need:

  • List of items for your guests to find.
  • A prize for the winning team or person
  • any extra items you want to place in the playing field that are not naturally there
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is to make up a list of items that you want your guests to find. Some items should be fairly easy to find, others much more difficult.

Seasonal items make great finds, such as pine cones, acorns, fall leaves (specify the color) a pine needle etc. To this list you might want to add a few special Halloween items such as mini pumpkins, home made ghosts, bats, or other Halloween themed items. Make sure anything not found readily in nature are scattered around the play area.

  2. Step 2

Mark out the play area and set a time for the hunt to completed by. The time should be determined by how long the list is and how difficult the items are to find.

Set the winner of the prize as being the first one to gather all the items, or the person or team to gather the most items.

  3. Step 3

Decide on the prize for the winner. Purchase it, and wrap it if you choose to do so.

At the party announce the hunt and hand everyone of list of objects they are to find. Tell them the rules and send them on their way.
