If you watch a little late night TV then you have most certainly caught a Juicer infomercial or highlights of Montel Williams’s new blender. No matter if you decided to buy the best blender for your budget at Wal-Mart such a Hamilton Beach product or ordered the latest and greatest food processor I will show you how to maintain a blender for longer life.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

You must always keep your household appliances clean for proper operation and obvious sanitary reasons. No matter if you’ve tried out a new strawberry daiquiri recipe or you’ve just made an awesome Oreo ice cream shakes, cleaning your blender after every use is important to blender maintenance.

  2. Step 2

For stuck food debris underneath the blades of the blender use a mixture of dish washing liquid and water to run through your juicer of blender. Make sure not to use too much or you will have soap suds everywhere! A bent pipe cleaner also works great to knock loose any stuck on food from your blender.

  3. Step 3

If your blender has issues leaking from the top, you can use a piece of aluminum foil to act as a seal between the cover and the blending container. If your blender no longer is good enough for the kitchen, you can use it as an effective mixer for home improvement projects such as mixing paint or plaster.
