How to Make Shower Spray Cleaner
If you want to keep your shower looking nice, i.e., not covered in soap scum, it's a good idea to spray it with a shower cleaner after each use. No doubt you've seen dozens of these spray cleaners on the market, but you don't have to spend a lot of your valuable time reading each label and trying to decide which of these similar products you should buy. You can easily make your own. One of the advantages to making a spray cleaner yourself is that you know exactly what's in it. This is important for people who have bad reactions to certain chemicals. And you can save a lot of money, too. But remember: These cleaners will not clean a shower that is already very dirty. If you have a buildup of soap scum on your shower, scrub it off completely with undiluted vinegar and a scrubber sponge before beginning to use your homemade cleaner. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
If you are extremely sensitive or allergic to any of the above chemicals, you can create an herbal cleaner as an alternative by adding ½ teaspoon of tea tree oil to one quart of water in a spray bottle. Cap and shake vigorously. (This natural spray must be shaken before each use as the oil tends to separate from the water when the solution is left to sit.)
Keep these products away from children. Cleaners may be harmful if swallowed. If necessary, keep them in a locked cabinet. Do not store the rubbing alcohol-based cleaner once you've added the hydrogen peroxide. It could cause a chemical reaction over time. Instead, store the peroxide and the base separately.
