Click the "Rectangle Tool" button in this menu to create the initial shape of the banner on your canvas. You can specify the width and height of this shape by clicking on it and typing in the numbers in the "Properties" toolbar. A standard size for a banner is 450 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.

Additionally, you may upload your own image by clicking "Import" under the "File" drop-down menu and then size the picture by clicking and dragging the mouse.

      Name and save your band banner as a GIF, JPG or PNG. Upload this graphic to your web server and make a note of the file that you place it in because you will need to know this location when posting it on MySpace.

      Log in to your MySpace account and click the "Edit Profile" link under the "Profile" drop-down menu. Choose an area to paste your banner in, such as "About Me," and enter the location of your banner using an HTML "<img>" image source tag. Further, if you want to link the graphic so that it takes visitors to another page, such as your website, surround the image source line with anchor tags. For example:

      <a href="http://www.yourdomain.com">
      <img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/images/band_banner.jpg" />
      </a>
