How to Send Photos
Sharing pictures with friends and family is a fun way to relive life's memories. After attending an event together, photos become the visual keepsake of the experience. When memory begins to fail us, photos help retell the stories of our lives. Sending photos to family and friends can be achieved multiple ways. Send photos through the postal mail, by email or share them on social networking websites.

1
Choose the photos to be sent through the mail. Have prints made of the photos to share. Keep originals for yourself and send duplicates to friends and family. Include pictures of the event overall and photos that include the recipient of the photo package.
-
2
Address the mailing envelope before inserting the photos. Writing on the outer envelope can cause dents in the photos, and damage them.

3
Package the photos so they will not be bent. Use cardboard photo mailing envelopes, sturdy slender cardboard boxes or padded envelopes. Add two pieces of cardboard in the interior of a padded envelope for rigidity. Place the photos in a paper envelope, between the two pieces of cardboard to keep them flat. Ask the post office to weigh the package. Attach the correct amount of postage based on the weight of the photo package.

Share and send photos by email. Download the images form a digital camera into the computer. Have film images scanned to a CD and place the CD in the computer's CD drive. Open the photo editing program installed on the computer and view the photos. Save the photos off of the digital media card or CD into a folder to be retrieved by the email program.
-
5
Open the email program. Choose to create a new message. Write a text message in the body of the email letting the recipient know you are sending photos. Locate an attach feature and upload the selected photos to the email. Use this way to send digital photos to one, or many people, at one time. Be aware that sending too many photos, or photos that are too large, can slow down the emailing process and might take longer for recipients to open.

Go to social networking sites such as Facebook, Flikr, Twitter or MySpace and send the photos to friends through the messaging or posting system. Locate the folder where the photos are saved and upload them to the social site. Note that photos shared on social sites can be seen by many people, not just friends and family.
