How to Make a Pork Marinade

You may already know that a pork marinade will add extra flavor. It also adds moisture and increases tenderness. Avoid serving dry, tough pork with a delicious pork marinade recipe. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Pork
  • 10 oz. beef broth
  • 1/3 cups apple juice
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 4 tsp. corn starch
  • Pot

Instructions

      Combine all the ingredients except the corn starch, into a pot. Stir.

      Bring to a boil over medium heat. When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to simmer and cook for it five minutes.

      Place your pork roast, loin or chops into a deep baking pan.

      Pour the marinade over the pork.

      Cover the pork and put it in the refrigerator overnight or for eight hours.

      Remove the pork out of the marinade and pour the marinade in a pot. Bring it back to a boil, over medium heat, and then reduce the heat to a simmer. Add the corn starch and stir. Remove the pot from the stove.

      Marinade (brush or spoon on) the pork several times while baking, barbecuing or cooking on the stove.

Tips & Warnings

  • Replace the applesauce with 4 tsp. honey and 3 tbsp. mustard, for a different flavor. Remember that pork must be cooked thoroughly.
