How to Get Permanent Marker Out of Jeans
A good pair of jeans is durable enough to stand quite a bit of wear and classic enough not to need any embellishment. Yet one slip of a permanent marker can adorn your jeans with some unwanted artwork. If this has happened to you, don't panic. Instead, roll up your sleeves. Things You'll Need
- Paper towels
- Clean cloth
- Rubbing alcohol
- Non-acetone nail polish remover
- Pretreating fluid
- Laundry detergent

Place several layers of paper towel or an absorbent cloth directly underneath the permanent marker stain.

Blot the stained area with rubbing alcohol or a non-acetone nail polish remover until the stain is transferred to the towel or cloth below.

Pretreat the stained area using laundry detergent or a pretreating fluid if any traces of ink remain.

Launder your jeans according to the directions on the care label.

Test cleaning fluids on a hidden area of your jeans for colorfastness before use.
Be aware that permanent marker stains are difficult to remove completely even under the best of circumstances.

Thank you! I thought of that after I panicked and posted my HELP status, but wouldn't you know I already packed the rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover! But, I found this powerful stain remover under the kitchen sink that I think worked, they're in the wash!! Phew, that was close! Thanks!!
