Picture calendars are a great way to share memories of vacations, relationships, family and events. Whether you are creating a calendar for yourself or for someone special, a photo calendar adds a personal touch as the months go by. There are many online services, including Snapfish.com and Shutterfly.com, that allow you to design a custom calendar and print it. If you would like to design and print a calendar at home using your own printer, you can use a calendar template. HP (Hewlett Packard) Creative Studios offers free templates that make it easy to design and print your own picture calendar.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Printer
  • Photos
  • Internet access
  • HP Advanced Soft-Gloss Photo Paper
  1. Step 1

Navigate on the Internet to hp.com/hho/hp_create. Click on "Project Types" from the top menu and select "Calendars."

  2. Step 2

Select the type of photo calendar you would like to print. You have the option of producing "Single Page Calendars" or "Monthly Calendars." On the resulting page, check the box next to "Use Your Photos." You can also filter calendar templates based on whether they are "Free." Select a calendar template to begin creating your picture calendar.

  3. Step 3

Choose a calendar year under "Customize Calendar." Click the "Import photos" link to begin uploading your pictures. Select your photo source as "My Computer" or "Snapfish" if you have photos hosted on Snapfish. Click "Upload more photos" to continue uploading all of your pictures. After you have uploaded all of your photos, select a calendar month from the right to begin designing your calendar.

  4. Step 4

Click and drag your photos from the left to the calendar template on the right. The template has holding spaces that denote where you can add photos. When you are satisfied with the current month, select a new month and add photos.

  5. Step 5

Load the photo paper into the printer. Click the "Preview and Print" link at the top of the page when you finish designing your calendar. Click the "Print It!" button to print the entire calendar at once. In the Printer Dialog Box, select "Preferences" and set the paper "Size" to "Borderless 8.5 x 11 in" or "Letter." Select paper "Type" as "HP Advanced Photo Paper" and "Orientation" as "Portrait." Click "OK" to print.
