How to Touch Up Digital Photos

It is very easy to take digital photos. Adobe Photoshop Elements is a photo editing software program which offers numerous tools to fix any errors and touch up your digital pictures, so they can look great.

Instructions

1. When you launch Adobe Photoshop Elements, there are several different tasks that will be presented to you. To fix your photos, look for the "Elements Quick Fix Feature" this is a very fast and easy way. Select the Quickly Fix photos option. When it launches, open one of your photos for editing by clicking the Open button on the toolbar and then select a specific photo.

2. To perform a one step, "Smart Fix" of the entire picture, click the smart fix auto button.

3. If you want to adjust the brightness, contrast, color levels automatically, click the levels auto button. If you want to automatically adjust only brightness and contrast, click the Contrast Auto button.

4. You can also adjust the brightness and contrast manually, by adjusting the lighten Shadows, Darken Highlights and midtone Contrast Sliders.

5. For adjusting the photos color and tint levels automatically, click the Color Auto button. To manually adjust the color and tint levels, adjust the saturation, hue, temperature and tint Slides.

6. If you want to slightly sharpen the overall picture, click the sharpen Auto button.
   To manually sharpen the picture, drag the Amount slider in the Sharpen Section.
