Any pain or annoyance in the area of the eyes, is very aggravating. However, some eye aches can be self remedied in less than 5 minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

For some relief of an aching eye due to lack of sleep or overstrain, shut that eye for several minutes if possible. (Gettting more sleep, when possible, can prevent this type of eye ache).

  2. Step 2

Eye aches due to bruises, there does not have to be a visible bruise, such as a black eye, for the damage to be there, exercise your eyes. Look as far to the left as possible, then as far to the right as possible. Next look as far up as possible, then as far down as possible.

  3. Step 3

Focus on the end of your index finger with it fully extended in front of you. Continue to focus on your index finger, as you bring it very close to your eye, then extend your arm again. Repeat this focusing exercise at various angles, far left, far right, up and down, etc.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't feel at least some pain relief, after about 5 minutes of these eye muscle exercises, see an eye doctor.
