Things You'll Need

  • 1 avocado
  • Knife
  • Spoon
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • Blender or food processor
  • Shower cap
  • Towel (optional)

      Cut the avocado in half lengthwise. Pop out and discard the pit.

      Scoop the avocado flesh out of the shell with a spoon. Place the flesh in the blender or food processor.

      Add the mayonnaise and puree until smooth and well blended.

      Smooth the mixture into your hair and work it all the way to the ends.

      Cover your hair with a plastic shower cap. Wait 15 to 20 minutes as the conditioner works on your hair. For more intense conditioning, dampen a towel with warm water and wrap it turban-style over the cap.

      Remove the cap and rinse your hair thoroughly.
