Children learn through hands-on play. Help your child to learn about the story of Adam and Eve by making a Garden of Eden playset from a recycled fast food cupholder.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Obtain a fast food cup holder. Take three or four brown or green pipe cleaners and lace them through the holes, twisting the loose ends into tree trunks. Be sure to leave part of the stems sticking out for branches.

  2. Step 2

Now you can decorate your trees however you like. In this set, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is decorated with eyes and the Tree of Life is decorated with a life symbol. Some green felt is spread over the cup holder for grass. Blue pipe cleaners are rivers.

  3. Step 3

Next, make Adam and Eve. Use paperdoll templates such as those available from makingfriends.com. Draw faces on them with markers.

  4. Step 4

Cut some leaf shapes from adhesive foam.

  5. Step 5

Clothe Adam and Eve with the leaves. You can also add yarn for hair and other craft decorations.

  6. Step 6

You can now use your set to act out the story as it is being read.
