How to Unzip a Zip File Online
A zip file is small file that has been compressed from a much larger file. Zip files are used to save space when transferring and downloading. In order to unzip a zip file, you need a designated unzipping program. Although you can download or purchase an unzipping program that you save on your computer, it is possible to unzip a zip file online. Unzipping online saves space because you do not need to install any software.

Go to the WobZIP website (see Resources). This is a free online file zipping service that allows you to unzip files up to 100 MB in size.

Click the "Browse" button and search for the file that you want to unzip and click "Open." Click the button that says "Wobzip" to unzip the file.

Wait a few minutes for the file to unzip. Depending on the process this could take as long as 30 minutes. Once it has completed you will be notified whether the upload and decompression of the file was successful or not.

Click on the file name to download onto your computer. Select "Download All Files as Zip" if you would like to download a copy of the file in zip format. Select "Delete All Files" if you would like to delete the files.
