According to the Chicago Manual of Style, Format entries for books as follows: Last Name, First name. Title of Book (in italics). Place of publication: Publisher, Year of Publication. An example would be: Stanton, Paul. The Book of Ladybugs. Los Angeles: California Insect Press, 2006.

Format entries for articles as follows: Last name, First name. "Title of Article." Journal Name (in italics). Issue Year (in parenthesis): page numbers. An example would be: Smith, Helen. "The Ladybug in Art." Art Journal 3 (2008): 62--71.

Alphabetize your sources according to the last name of the author.
