How to Send Out Change of Address Cards
Changes of address cards are available online and in many stores, but if you set aside two hours, you can easily create change of address cards at home using your contacts and a couple of items from your local office supply store. Open a word processing program like Microsoft office and begin creating your change of address card. Change your paper size to 5.5 x4-inch, by going to "page layout," click "custom margins," click "paper" and change to the appropriate paper size.

4
Select a creative heading for your change of address card. Some examples include "We've Moved," "Our New Home," "Our New Address" or "Our Address Has Changed." Under your heading, write your name and all members of your family or simply include your family's last name. Write your new address, phone number and email address. Insert card stock into the printer and press "Print."

5
Print your new mailing address on each envelope. Also, include your addressees name and mailing information. You can do this while your cards are printing.
-
6
Insert one card into each envelope, seal the back of the envelope and add a stamp. Go to your local mailbox or post office and mail all of your change of address cards.

Tips & Warnings
Add extra flair to your moving card by adding free clip-art. Search online for free clip-art galleries or use the clip-art in Microsoft Word. Purchase a couple extra cards and envelopes just in case you make a mistake while printing or think of additional names later.
It's best to send change of address cards after the move, instead of before the move. If you haven't talked to someone in the past year, give them a call to ensure that their address hasn't changed.
