How to Take the GED Online Free
You cannot take the official GED (General Education Development) test online at all. To take the official test that will earn you your GED, you must go to an approved testing center to take a proctored exam. However, you can take practice GED test questions online. This way you can find out if you need more preparation to take the exam (such as taking classes) or if you are ready to make your appointment at a testing center. The test covers mathematics, language arts such as reading and writing, science and social studies.

Try the complete test at 4Tests.com. Most sites charge you to take GED practice tests online, but this site has one available for free. You can choose which components you want to take, such as only mathematics or all components.

Don't forget about your local library. It may have GED study guides which will give you practice tests. Though they may not be online, they will be free.
