However, there are also times when the user will visit a website has legitimate information that appears in a pop-up menu. When this occurs, the user will need to be able to adjust the settings of the pop-up blockers that are being utilized or simply turn off the pop-up blockers altogether.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet Connection
  • Pop-up Blocker Software
  1. Step 1

Determine what programs on the computer are acting as pop-up blockers. In general, these will be provided either by the anti-virus software or the web browser software that is being used.

  2. Step 2

Check to see if an option bar appears at the top of the browser window being utilized. It must have the option to allow pop-ups for the particular page that is being accessed. If so, simply click the button and refresh the page.

  3. Step 3

Access the "Options" menu for either the web browser or anti-virus software being used. This menu will generally be found under the "Tools" link. Select the link related to pop-up menus and either disable this feature completely or if it is an option, add the website in question to a list of allowable exceptions.

  4. Step 4

Refresh the web page and the pop-ups being sought should appear as desired.
