MP3 is a compressed audio format that reduces a size of files needed to store audio recordings. It is often desirable to convert MP3 files to a conventional audio CD in order to listen to the music on any CD player---like, for example, in the car. Windows Media Player allows you to burn an audio CD from MP3 files. Windows Media Player is freely distributed with the Windows operating system.
