When reusing binders, it is often necessary to remove an attached label. Adhesives can make it impossible to remove labels. The longer the label has been on the binder, the more likely it is to have adhered permanently. Fortunately, there are some ways you can force the glue to break down, allowing you to remove the label.

Things You Will Need
  • Vinegar

  • Cooking oil

  • Peanut butter

  • Nail polish remover

  • Rubbing alcohol

  • Glue removing solvent

  • Razor blade

Moisten label with a substance that will break down the glue and release the rest of the label. Some effective substances include vinegar, cooking oil, rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, peanut butter or a glue removing solvent. Allow to saturate for at least five minutes.

Peel off label, using a razor blade to release one edge and then pulling up.

Repeat step 1 if any residue remains and peel off remaining label pieces.
