How to become a VMware Technical Sales Professional 4

The VMware Technical Sales Professional Program (VTSP) provides foundational technical knowledge for pre-sales individuals to help them successfully engage in a VMware sales cycle. VTSP is recommended before you obtain Technical Pre-Sales Competency Accreditations.

Things You'll Need

• You must work for a VMware Partner.
• Complete the prescribed course work if you do not currently hold a VTSP.
• Complete the prescribed delta courses if you currently hold a VTSP 3.5.

Instructions

1. Register for the VMware Partner Central Website at http://www.vmware.com/partners/partners.html.

2. Once registered select the partner university tab.

3. 

   Once on the Partner University page, select the VTSP button under the Earning Accreditations/Certifications by Role heading.

4. 

   Once on the VTSP site click the button to add this certification plan to your myTasks.

5. 

   Once the certification plan is added to myTasks, if you do not currently hold a VTSP 3.5 select each of the classes highlighted in this steps image.

6. 

   Once on the individual class site, select the Add to myEnrollments link.

7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each of the six classes.

8. 

   If you currently hold a VTSP certification for version 3.5, you will use the classes highlighted in this steps image for steps 5 and 6.

9. 

   Once all of the required classes are added to myEnrollments, go to the myEducation tab and select the myEnrollments option.

10. 

    Once in myEnrollments, select the first class in the list and click begin.

11. 

    On the class page you will be provided with a description of the class and the time to complete the module will also be shown. The time estimate includes the time to watch the module video and to complete the quiz at the end. When you are ready to being, click the Start this Course button.

12. 

    After you have finished the video, close the video window. Note that the Next Steps: Module Test is now a link. Click the link to take the exam.

13. You are required to answer 80%+ of the answers correctly to pass the module. When you pass all of the modules you will be a VMware Technical Sales Professional.

Tips & Warnings

• Watch the videos for each course module if you are not familiar with the materials as they will cover what you need to know for the tests.

• If you feel you can pass the exams without watching the entire video, simply allow it to play for a few seconds, and then close the video window. The option to take the course exam will be available.
