Step 1
Go to www.Lupus.org. This is a fantastic website that gives great information on anything you ever wanted to know about Lupus. If you really want to get involved you’re going to want to find a chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America in your state. Unfortunately Lupus doesn’t even have enough awareness out there to have a chapter in every state, but the state will have a region in charge of it that you can contact. Once you have logged on to www.Lupus.org look to the right side of the page and click on the purple “Locate Chapters” link.
-
Step 2
A list of states will come up. Scroll down until you see your state and click on the purple “Website” link. You will be guided to the main website for your local chapter. The local websites should look the same from state to state showing a link on the tool bar that reads “Programs & Events,” this is where you want to click.
-
Step 3
This screen will show you the next upcoming event at the top of the page. If you need to register or buy tickets etc… they will have a link under the listed event that you can click on to do that. If you want to wait until the day of the event to pay then they allow that as well. The Lupus Foundation will also show the next couple events there as well.

Step 4
If you want to do even more to raise awareness for Lupus you can volunteer to help with events. To do this scroll up to the top of the screen where the tool bar is and click on “Volunteer.” Once you click on the link it brings up a “contact us” link to click on which gives you all of the local information you need to get started.
