Things You'll Need:
- Computer/Internet connection
-
Step 1
Make a list of the things you need. In order to play ice hockey you will need a cup, helmet, mouth piece, shoulder pads, shin guards, pants(shorts), socks, skates, elbow pads, a stick, and hockey gloves.
-
Step 2
Determine what sizes you need. The best way to do this is to take your list down to a sporting goods store and try on each individual piece and record which size best fits you.
-
Step 3
Post a flyer at your local in line or ice hockey rink that says your interested in buying used hockey equipment. Make sure to include your phone number and even the sizes you are looking for. Most hockey players have old gear they would love to trade in for some quick cash.
-
Step 4
Visit your local used sporting goods store. Play It Again Sports has a great selection of street hockey gear as well as ice hockey gear. Whether your looking for a cheap pair of hockey gloves or a couple hockey sticks, Play it Again always has a few in stock. I recommend heading there in the spring right after the hockey season ends. This is when everyone tends to sell their old stuff.
