Things You'll Need:
- moisturizer
- shower gel
- towl
- natural products
-
Step 1
Take a shower as normally; however start considering products that are natural that are paraben and sulphate free. Products that contain alcohol and fragrance dry out the skin and can also irritate the area where the skin is severely dry.
-
Step 2
Purchase a moisturizer that is deep penetrating which contains healing extracts and essential oils including shea and cocoa butter and lanolin. These ingredients are Effective for irritated dry skin and for psoriasis and eczema. Avoid products that contain baby oil and petroleum jelly.
-
Step 3
Apply moisturizer to the skin and pay special attention to the dry areas like elbows, knees, feet and cracked heels.
-
Step 4
Start with applying the moisturizer twice a day until the skin heals and then just apply as part of your daily ritual of getting dressed for the day.
