The bob is a classic and versatile style that looks great on almost anyone. Whether your hair is curly or straight, short or shoulder-length, this style is very easy to achieve and to personalize. Once you have a great bob cut (best done by a professional stylist), styling your hair at home is quite easy.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Wet your hair using a spray bottle filled with water.

  2. Step 2

Apply leave-in conditioner before drying with a blow-dryer and a round brush. Swivel the brush away from your scalp as you dry if you have curly or kinky hair. If your hair is straight or wavy, lift the hair from the roots to create more volume.

  3. Step 3

Part your hair with the tail of the rat-tailed comb. Choose either a middle part (which is aligned with your nose) or a side part (which is closer to your eyebrows). For bangs, make a straight part about 1/3 of an inch away from your forehead, then comb the hairs forward. Using a wide-tooth comb to arrange the hair on both sides of the part.

  4. Step 4

Apply a shine serum product throughout your head.

  5. Step 5

Section off a small piece of hair and glide a warm flat iron down the length of the hair, tilting slightly at the bottom for a slight bump (but do not tilt enough to curl the hair). Continue with different pieces until your entire head is complete.

  6. Step 6

Curl the crown of your head with a very large barrel curling iron. Glide the iron down the hair until you reach the halfway point, then tilt the iron and curl under. This will create volume and height at the crown.

  7. Step 7

Spritz the hair with finishing spray. Complete by tucking sections behind your ears, if that is your desired look.
