How to Cancel Limewire

LimeWire is a peer-to-peer file sharing program that lets you search for and download files from other users on the Gnutella network.There is a free Basic version and a Pro version you have to pay for. Both are the same with the exception of improved speed and greater search results on the Pro version. Since LimeWire does not offer refunds for the Pro version, the only way to cancel it is to uninstall the program from your computer.

Instructions

1. Uninstall the program if you do not want LimeWire anymore. Click the Windows "Start" button and click the "Control Panel."

2. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" to open the programs window. Double-click "Program and Features" (Windows Vista users) and click "Uninstall a Program" to open the programs window.

3. Scroll down the programs window and click "LimeWire." Click "Remove/Uninstall" and click "Yes." Click "Next" on the uninstallation wizard and click "Uninstall" to remove the program from your computer.

4. Click the Windows "Start" button and click "My Computer." Double-click the "C:" drive and double-click the "Program Files" folder.

5. Scroll through the Program Files folder and locate the LimeWire folder. Right-click it and click "Delete." Empty the recycle bin to complete the uninstallation process.
