How to Find the Gateway Number on My Computer

Your Gateway serial number or customer ID number allows Gateway to provide you with specific information about your computer.This number is also helpful to have when contacting Gateway support. The serial number is between 10 and 22 digits. The length of the serial number depends on what year you purchased the computer and where you purchased it.

      If you have the invoice, locate the serial number or customer ID number.

      Find the Gateway sticker on the computer case. On laptop cases, the sticker is on the bottom. For tower systems, the sticker can be on any of the sides, rear panel, top or bottom of the case.

      Note the Gateway number on the sticker, then go to the Resources link below for Gateway Support. Type the serial number into the "Serial Number" field, then click "Submit" to get system information, support documents and downloads for your computer.
