How to Donate an RV to a Nonprofit

RVs are great if you have the free time and money to use them. Unfortunately, not many people have both. If you are looking to free yourself of your RV, consider donating it instead of selling it. You would receive less money but you would have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping out a good cause.

Instructions

1. Contact an organization that specializes in picking up donated cars from individuals. Some of the organizations that take RVs are:

2. Ask the organization what nonprofits it supports. Nonprofits that take groups of individuals on trips and excursions need an RV more than others and can put it to better use. Some of these groups are the Ronald McDonald House and the Boys and Girls Club.

3. Arrange a time for the organization to pick up the RV from your home.

4. You will receive a statement from the organization about your nonprofit charitable donation. You can write this off on your income taxes.
