Things You'll Need:
- Eyebrow pencil
- Thick eyebrows that have not been tweezed in the past week
- Tweezer (Rubis Cosmetic Tweezers or other slanted tip tweezers work the best)
- Mirror (Tweezerman Tweezermate 12x or other magnifying mirrors work well
- Eyebrow Brush
- Eyebrow Scissors
-
Step 1
Brush eyebrows upward with the eyebrow brush. Find your natural arch by taking the eyebrow pencil and holding it up to your nose, vertically. This is where your eyebrow should start. Remember this (or if needed, mark with eyebrow pencil)
-
Step 2
Slightly slant the pencil at a 30 degree angle from your nose to your eyebrow. This will be the apex of your eyebrow arch. Remember this point (or if needed, mark with eyebrow pencil).
-
Step 3
Slightly slant the pencil at a 60 degree angle from your nose to your eyebrow. This will be the end of your eyebrow line. Some individuals do not have that much eyebrow hair, so this part of the eyebrow is typically outlined with the eyebrow pencil.
-
Step 4
Look into the magnifying mirror. Take the slanted tip tweezers and begin plucking eyebrow hairs below your eyebrow line, INDIVIDUALLY (not in clumps). This will make your eyebrow line more precise.
-
Step 5
When that is done, start tweezing on top of your eyebrow line. The thickness of your eyebrow line will vary, depending on your natural arch, but the most flattering lines usually have a thickness of a little less than half the width of your thumbnail. Do not over-tweeze. If your eyebrow still looks "wild", it is most likely due to the fact that some of your eyebrow hairs are different lengths. To rectify this, you will need to use the eyebrow comb and eyebrow scissors to CAREFULLY trim the longer hairs. Remember that the eyebrow will start out thick and gradually get thinner as you shape the arch. Also, keep in mind that the arch is not really an arch, per say. This means that you do not want to "round" out your eyebrow. Your eyebrow should remain more straight, then anything.
-
Step 6
Lastly, comb the eyebrow up and out. Fill in any sparse parts with an eyebrow pencil (that closely matches your eyebrow color).
