How to Make Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms


If you love mushrooms this is the perfect recipe for you. A great way to prepare portabella mushrooms. This creamy recipe is to die for.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 large portabella mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 cup chopped cooked spinach
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded chicken or turkey
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Melt the butter and cream cheese in a large sauce pan. Add the white wine and stir constantly until it thickens. Add cooked spinach and garlic powder.

  • Remove mushroom stems and chop them. In a separate skillet, sauté onion and minced garlic until tender. Next add the chopped mushroom stems and chicken. Cook 5-6 minutes.

  • Add sauce mixture to chicken mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well blended.

  • Place mushroom caps stem side up on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet and fill them with the mixture. Top with bread crumbs.

  • Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for about 15 minutes until bread crumb topping is golden brown. Serve this as a main course with a fresh salad and French bread. Enjoy!
