Teen drivers in Delaware of ages 16 and under 18years are eligible for the Graduated Driving License. With the Graduated Driving License, the teens aren’t allowed to drive alone; they remain under the strict supervision of their parents or sponsor.

This article guides teens for steps to obtain the Graduated Driving License; their first step towards independence.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Complete the Driving Education and present the Blue Certificate to obtain a Delaware Graduated Driving License
    The Delaware Driving Education course must be completed. Prior to signing up with any courses make sure the courses are approved by the Division of Motor Vehicles. The driving education revolves around teaching the specifics of the Driver’s Manual in classes and on road.

  2. Step 2

    Arrange documents
    To obtain a Delaware Graduated Driving License the following documents should be arranged.
    1. Name Proof
    2. Date of Birth Proof
    3. Social Security
    4. 2 proofs of Delaware Residency

  3. Step 3

    Talk to Sponsors
    All responsibilities of the minor driving are vested with the sponsors. They are jointly responsible of any damages that the teen driver might incur. The sponsor has the rights to withdraw their endorsement if he/she deems necessary.

  4. Step 4

    Pay fees of $25 to get a Delaware Graduated Driving License.

  5. Step 5

    Understand Time Restrictions
