Things You'll Need:

  • Ovulation Predictor Kit
  1. Step 1

Buy an ovulation kit. If you have a pretty regular cycle you can buy a 5-7 day kit. If your cycle is erratic you may want to buy a 30 day kit.

  2. Step 2

Start using the kit on the day indicated on the manufacturers directions. Once you start using the kit make sure you use it at the same time everyday. Do not use first morning urine as this could give you faulty results.

  3. Step 3

After peeing on the stick wait 5 minutes to read the results. A positive result will show the test line as dark or darker than the control line. A negative result will show either no test line or a faint line lighter than the control line.

  4. Step 4

If you got a positive result that means that you will probably ovulate in 24-48 hours.
If you got a negative result keep testing.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you get a result that looks like half of the vertical test line is positive this usually indicates a positive result. If you have questions or concerns you should contact the manufacturer.
  • If you never get a positive result this could mean that you don't have enough LH to turn the test positive or it could indicate that you have not yet ovulated. If you have concerns about your cycle you should contact your doctor.
