Learn how to use the interface of the mixing software. Load the first song, then load the second song in the next player so it's ready. Utilize readings on the unit to know which song is playing and which one is cued. This is the single-player interface software feature.

Set up and choose the automated mixing feature. Use the up and down arrows on the interface, then choose "auto mix." This will allow you to have mixed music automatically played when you break from scratching.

Use pre-configured sounds and vocal samples as well as your own samples within the Simultaneous Sample Playback feature. This technology allows you to change the mood and flow of the beat through multiple cue points. Practice being able to create the cadence needed by inserting scats and other sounds.

A guide for understanding the features of the software can also be found online (Reference 2).

Play varying audio formats such as MP3, WMA and Wave on your software. Familiarize yourself with the other formats that the Mix Master software supports. You can also download free software from the Internet that's compatible with the unit (Reference 1).
