How to Reset an RCA DSS Receiver

Resetting your RCA DSS receiver may be necessary following a prolonged power outage or signal loss. A hard reset of the receiver will restore the unit to factory default settings and get rid of that annoying "No Signal" message on your television screen.

    • RCA DSS satellite receiver

        Turn on the receiver and verify it is on by looking for the red power light.

        Make sure the TV is set to the proper channel for satellite reception, typically 3 or 4.

        Shut off the receiver using the power button on the unit itself. Do not use the remote control for this step.

        Disconnect the digital coaxial cable from the back of the receiver by unscrewing the threaded nipple counter-clockwise.
