Number plates are the United Kingdom's version of the license plate. The number plate acts as a registration and allows you to drive legally on British roadways. Without the number plate the car is not allowed to be driven. You can get a custom-made number plate.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Register your vehicle with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). To do this you will need paperwork confirming your name and address, plus you need to fill out application form V55/4, which is available at the DVLA office.

  2. Step 2

Visit the DLVA personalizing website. Here you can buy your desired number plate from over 30 million registrations. A link to the site is available in "Resources."

  3. Step 3

Go to a website such as "4plats.co.uk" or "VMR-group.co.uk." These website allow you to customize your newly acquired number plate designation number.

  4. Step 4

Type in your number plate number at one of the websites, then select the options to change the color, font or border of the number plates. Doing this will give you a unique and legal number plate.
