Making an Easter Bunny cake is a sure way to make dessert festive. You'll only need a few tools and some time to decorate.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 round cakes
  • Knife
  • Frosting or icing (white and other colors)
  • Cake spatula (optional)
  1. Step 1

Cut the shape of the ears from one of the cake rounds. They can be any shape you want, but conventional bunny ears are cut from the sides of the cake using a curved cut to form two elongated footballs. The remained of the cake---the middle---will resemble a bow tie.

  2. Step 2

Place the "ears" on the uncut cake round so that they form bunny ears.

  3. Step 3

Use the remainder of the first round to add Easter Bunny parts. You can use the whole of the remainder to give the bunny a bow tie, or cut other shapes to form a nose or a suit tie.

  4. Step 4

Decorate the cake, using the frosting or icing. Use the white frosting on the entire cake assembly to hold everything together and to create the "fur" of the bunny. Use the other colors to create the eyes, nose and mouth.

Tips & Warnings
  • For added "fur," use coconut shavings. Use pink frosting or pink sprinkles to fill in the middle of the ears.
