Acupressure involves the application of pressure to various places, or "points," on the body. This ancient, natural remedy can help normalize your immune system and balance hormones in the body. It has been used to treat a variety of ailments, from sore throats to addiction to pain relief. In addition, many believe that acupressure can help relieve a variety of skin problems, including acne. If you are tired of spending money on acne medications that don't always work, try the following techniques for clear, healthy skin.

Locate the major pressure point on your hands. Do this by holding your thumb and forefinger close together. The skin that sticks up the furthest is the L1 4 pressure point.

Massage the L1 4 pressure point for 60 seconds on each hand daily. Take several deep breaths while you do this.

Locate the facial pressure points on your face. Find the inside corner of each eye, then move your finger upward to your brow bone. This is called the B2 pressure point.

Feel for the base of your cheek bone, just below the pupil of each eye. This is called the Four Whites pressure point.

Massage both the B2 and Four Whites pressure points for 60 seconds each day. Take several deep breaths while applying pressure.

Locate the final acupressure point, the Wide Screen point, behind each ear lobe. Find this spot by feeling for the slight dip behind your ear lobes. Massage the Wide Screen point for 60 seconds daily while performing deep breathing exercises.
