For most brides, the wedding dress is the most important decision to make about a wedding. It has to be the right fit, the right color, and the right price. Most brides want the perfect dress at the perfect price. This combination is hard to find but, with a little careful planning, it is doable.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the big bridal stores. Find a dress you love and leave. Go home and get on the Internet and look for the same size/same designer on eBay, Craigslist, or your local paper. Give yourself time to hold out until you find the dress.

  2. Step 2

Check the local consignment shops for bargains. Give yourself as much time as possible. Tell the owner/manager of the boutique what you are looking for and leave your name and number. Ask them to call when they get in a dress you may like.

  3. Step 3

Put an ad in your local paper. Tell the style you are looking for and your price point. Let the dress come to you.

  4. Step 4

Rent a dress. Lightinthebox.com has dresses that start at just $69!

  5. Step 5

If you don't mind a nontraditional dress, check out the prom dress sections at your local Department Stores. Dillards has a ton of great dresses.

Tips & Warnings
