Things You'll Need:
- cooperative bearded dragon
- camera - with a macro setting
- nice photo location
-
Step 1
Find a location that is perfect for your photo. Don't be afraid to try taking your dragon outside, as long as the temperature is hot and you are able to supervise 100%. Nature can make a fantastic backdrop for your picture.
-
Step 2
Try taking a photo of your dragon eating. This is not only interesting, it can be very educational for people who have never seen a dragon up close.
-
Step 3
Don't be afraid to use the macro setting on your camera. While this particular setting requires you to get up close and personal, the results are often stunning.
-
Step 4
Be sure to take your time - capturing the perfect photo often takes time and patience. Just because your dragon may not move quickly most of the time doesn't mean that you can forgo this step.

on 10/8/2009 Thank you! They really seem to like being outside - of course on the days, that I would rather be inside enjoying the a/c.
