Step 1
ALLOW YOURSELF TO FEEL IT -
Avoid blocking the pain by trying to avoid it. Doing this will only allow it to creep up on you later on just prolonging your grieving process. Allow yourself to go through the stages of heartbreak. Cry when you feel like it, don't fight the tears. Crying cleanses you and helps you get though the situation. The sooner you allow yourself to go through the stages, the sooner you can let go and move on. -
Step 2
STAY CLOSE WITH FRIENDS -
Choose a few close friends or relatives you can lean on who you trust. Talk out your feeling with your friends. This is a great therapeutic way to get through any hard time. Everyone needs supportive people around them, so turn to those who are good listeners. -
Step 3
STICK TO YOUR REGULAR SCHEDULE -
Avoid changing your normal daily routine because of your heartbreak. It is a great way to get through this time when you go on and do the things you need to do. Of course some times are harder then others and there are times you should take some time off to cope, but try sticking as close to your routine as possible. Taking it day by day, getting up and doing what needs to be done is a great way to heal. -
Step 4
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS -
Look at all the things you have to be thankful for each day. Doing this will help you to see what you do have in your life and how luck you are. It gives you a chance to see all the positive things rather then focusing on the negative.
