Step 1
Wear SunblockWear a good quality sunblock. You have to look for the following ingredients: zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Products that contain these ingredients are also effective in reducing the risk of damage from UVA exposure. Please be aware that sunblock is different that sunscreen. Sunblock blocks the untraviolet rays from penetrating your skin while sunscreen absorbs the sun's rays. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock is a good choice but you have to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.

Step 2
Facial PeelFind a good peeling system that target brown spots. There are a lot of products on the market that contain citric acid like Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Facial Peel System. The citric acid has proven to be successful in getting rid of the damaged cells and thus allowing new cells to replace them so you to have more even complexion. It is very important not to expose your skin to sun while using peeling system.

Step 3
Help MeGet a retinol cream. Retinol is a form of Vitamin A, an important anti-oxidant that stimulates the reproduction of skin cells. The retinol cream will work underneath the surface of your skin therefore you might not see results right away. In about 2-3 months, the skin should look more even and the sunspots or brown spots should be considerably faded. Since creams containing retinol may increase sun sensitivity, it is recommended to use sunblock or avoid spending too much time outside during the retinol therapy. Some good creams are Philosophy Help Me, available at Sephora and Roc Retinol Correxion series sold at the drugstores.

Step 4
DIY - almondsUse almonds and honey from your pantry. Almond peels have been known for their qualities to brighten up brown spots. Get equal parts of honey and almond peels and put on your face or target area. Leave for about 30 minutes. Repeat 3 times a week. Honey has wonderful heeling effect too! It might take awhile untill you see any results but it's affordable and easy DIY tip that you should try! Don't forget to use a towel for your hair - things might get messy!
