Step 1
Take stock.
Gather all the items you want to sell in one room or your garage. See what you have and prepare it for sale. This might include a little spot removal or even just some polishing to make your furniture look it's best. -
Step 2
Decide on a price for each item.
This is the most difficult step for most people. One good thing to do is a little comparison shopping online and at consignment stores. Also ask yourself if you want to get top dollar for your furniture or simply get rid of it while earning a little money in the process. -
Step 3
Decide on a method of sale.
You have lots of options where this is concerned. You can do something as simple as a garage sale. You should also check out consignment stores in your area to see if they will sell your pieces. Finally, consider going online. Many people don't think of this option because of the cost involved in shipping furniture, but eBay has a local option and Craigslist is designed for local shoppers.

on 10/23/2009 Check prices in furniture shops so that you have a good comparison - then put an ad in the local newspaper or try it on sales platforms or at a flea market. And do not hesitate to sell it via newspaper or online – if you inform your “customers” that you sell for collection – they still will be interested. What is very important: Make a good picture or more pictures of the furniture you want to sell – your “customers” want to “see” what they buy. Be honest: Tell the people if the furniture is having a defect.
Have a good business!
